Job Description
Data Analyst – Data Analytics & Insights (DA&I)
Pune, India
As a Data Analyst in the Data Analytics & Insights (DA&I) team, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to align business strategies with data-driven solutions. You will report to the Manager – DA&I and work in a hybrid capacity from our Pune, India office. In this role, you will help shape the future of analytics at Rockwell Automation by applying tools like Power BI and data science methodologies to deliver impactful insights and drive decision intelligence.
You will be reporting to ENGINEERING MANAGER IT.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with DA&I Technical Lead and business stakeholders to define 3–6-month priorities and ensure alignment with long-term strategic goals.
- Translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI, Python, and data modeling platforms.
- Coordinate project resources and manage dependencies across capability teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Support Level 2 and Level 3 issue resolution in collaboration with DA&I Engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of analytics solutions.
- Drive change management initiatives, including data literacy and governance practices, to promote adoption and value realization across domains.
The Essentials – You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with multi-dimensional data design, star schemas, facts, and dimensions.
- Strong understanding of system engineering, object-oriented design, and architecture standards.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI, Python, and data mining platforms.
- Experience with SAP ECC and CRM
- Ability to translate business functionality into technical requirements and compelling business cases.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have:
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development lifecycles.
- Familiarity with metadata management and data governance practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Exposure to organizational change readiness and vendor management.
