Job Responsibilities
- Build user-centric business intelligence dashboards in Qlik Sense, delivering actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Create Qlik Sense extractor and transformer (.qvs) scripts to perform complex ETL tasks, including Set Analysis, Section Access, and Mashups.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources using scripting and tools such as Pentaho or equivalent platforms.
- Design and model databases, leveraging strong PLSQL/SQL skills and experience with RDBMS like Oracle and MS SQL Server.
- Utilize Qlik Sense Visualization Extensions, Mashups, APIs, and Web Integration to enhance dashboard functionality and user experience.
- Develop custom Qlik Sense extensions and visualizations using JavaScript, and integrate publicly available Extension Objects.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing regular updates and aligning solutions with business objectives. Work comfortably with multiple datasets featuring complex relationships and varying levels of detail.
- Apply a strong commercial mindset to identify business priorities and leverage data to drive strategic outcomes. Conduct thematic and trend analysis to uncover actionable business insights.
- Demonstrate clear, logical, and effective verbal and written communication skills, interpreting technical material for clients. Apply sound analytical and diagnostic skills to resolve issues that are not readily defined.
- Exhibit strong leadership, collaboration, and project management skills in fast-paced, agile environments.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and/or business intelligence development, with a proven track record in both domains.
- 7+ years of QlikView/Qlik Sense hands on development enterprise grade hands on experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with PLSQL/SQL (Oracle or MS SQL) and data modeling.
- 7+ years of experience with Logical & Physical Data Modeling, Data Normalization
- 5+ years of ETL using tools like Pentaho
- Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD automation and cloud deployment.
- Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JSON) and integration of BI solutions with web applications.
- Ability to manage identity and access controls, including Section Access in Qlik environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Qlik Sense/QlikView Certification.
- Experience with Tableau or other BI tools. Master's or certifications in Qlik, cloud, o r risk management are a plus
- Version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jules). Technology Risk & Control experience or certifications.
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to align technology solutions with business goals.
