Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineer with strong expertise in data integration and iPaaS technologies. This role combines traditional data engineering responsibilities with modern integration platform capabilities, focusing on building robust data pipelines and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience with ETL processes and iPaaS platforms, particularly Mulesoft, Tray.io or Dell Boomi.
Key Responsibilities:
System Integration:
- Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems using iPaaS platforms
- Build both batch processing and real-time API-based integrations
- Design RESTful APIs and implement API management strategies
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of integration solutions
- Monitor integration performance and implement optimizations
Data Integration:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for the enterprise data warehouse
- Implement data transformation logic and ensure data quality across various systems
- Monitor and tune data pipeline performance
Project Delivery
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
- Create detailed user stories and technical specifications
- Develop technical design documentation and solution architecture
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in code reviews and implement best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering and system integration
- Strong experience with iPaaS platforms, specifically Mulesoft, Tray.io and/or Dell Boomi
- Proven expertise in ETL tool implementation and best practices
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Experience with API development and integration patterns
- Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and design principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Technical Skills:
- iPaaS Platforms: Mulesoft, Tray,io, Dell Boomi
- Programming: Python, Lambda, or similar languages
- Databases: Snowflake,Postgres, and others
- ETL Tools: Dbt, AWS Glue, and others
- API Technologies: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
- Source Control: Git
- Cloud Platforms: AWS
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Team player with collaborative mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- MuleSoft or Dell Boomi certifications
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
