The Role
We’re looking for a mid-level Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics practice. You’ll design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines and architectures for some of the world’s leading financial institutions. You’ll combine hands-on coding with engineering best practices, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence across on-premise and cloud platforms.
What You’ll Do
Build robust and scalable data pipelines using modern technologies and frameworks
Develop both on-prem and cloud-native data solutions, supporting digital transformation at scale
Collaborate with clients to interpret data requirements and design optimal solutions
Automate and optimise data workflows, ensuring security, resilience, and performance
Contribute to internal capability development by sharing knowledge and best practices
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience in Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering
Proficiency with Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Hive, and similar big data tools
Hands-on experience with schema design (structured/semi-structured data), SQL/NoSQL, ETL/ELT
Familiarity with event-driven streaming tools (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming)
Good understanding of secure data protocols (TLS, OAuth, encryption)
Bonus Points For
Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or data lake/data warehousing tools
Knowledge of containerisation, graph databases, and machine learning concepts
Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI)
Experience with data solutions across hybrid cloud environments
Enthusiasm for learning new tools and solving real-world problems with data
