Role OverviewWe are seeking a Data Engineer / Data Scientist to architect and maintain the data backbone of the Growth Pod. You will design, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines for moving data from AWS to GCP, ensuring comprehensive visibility across the activation funnel. Your work will deliver reliable pipelines into BigQuery, empower analytics, power automation, and enable data-driven growth. This is a high-ownership, in-office Bangalore position where your expertise in ETL, cloud data platforms, and analytics will drive measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities- Growth Data Infrastructure: Design and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines and event tracking for full-funnel analytics.
- Funnel Analytics & Observability: Drive observability, instrument user events, collaborate on dashboards & reporting.
- Experimentation & A/B Analytics: Build models and ETL flows for experimentation, enabling rapid analysis.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with Product, Backend, and Marketing to integrate leading tools.
- Data QA & Compliance: Ensure quality, privacy, and security best practices.
- Insight Generation: Deliver actionable insights to drive activation and strategic growth.
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of BigQuery: schema design, query optimization, advanced SQL, and analytics.
- Proven track record of managing data flows between AWS and GCP (especially S3 to BigQuery).
- Strong grasp of ETL principles, data ingestion, and pipeline automation.
- Proficiency with event tracking, data warehousing, and analytical pipeline architecture in fast-paced tech environments.
- Experience integrating analytics, CRM, or marketing automation tools into data warehouses.
- Obsession with data reliability, observability, and quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a growth-focused, high-ownership team.
- Monitoring and optimising queries running on BigQuery.
- Prior work supporting growth, activation, or funnel analytics teams.
- Experience delivering customer journey observability.
- Built scalable event tracking/analytics for high-transaction systems.
- Capability in statistical analysis and/or machine learning for insight generation.
- Data visualization expertise.
- Ability to communicate complex insights to cross-functional teams.
