Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Data Product Design
o Design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models to support Data Products across multiple business domains.
o Translate business requirements into well-structured data entities, attributes and relationships.
o Ensure data models support reuse, scalability, audibility and long-term sustainability.
o Apply appropriate modelling techniques including normalization, dimensional modelling, history handling and audit attributes.
Data Discovery & Requirements Translation
o Partner with business and control stakeholders to understand data requirements, use cases and reporting needs.
o Perform data discovery across source systems and existing datasets to inform target-state design.
o Produce clear data dictionaries, mappings and lineage artifacts to support build and testing.
Data Governance & Quality
o Ensure data models align to enterprise data governance standards including data quality, data ownership, privacy and records management.
o Embed controls and design principles that support regulatory, audit and risk expectations.
o Support data issue analysis and remediation through strong understanding of underlying data structures.
Collaboration & Delivery
o Work closely with engineering, architecture and platform teams to ensure data models are build-ready and technically feasible.
o Act as a trusted data design partner within delivery teams, providing clarity on data semantics and design intent.
o Contribute to continuous improvement of data modelling standards, templates and best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
o Strong experience in data modelling (conceptual, logical and physical) within complex data environments.
o Proven experience supporting Data Products, analytics platforms or enterprise data initiatives.
o Solid understanding of relational data design, joins, cardinality, history management and data integrity.
o Hands-on experience producing data mappings, data dictionaries and lineage documentation.
o Hands-on experience in relational databases like Oracle or DB2 or SQL Server etc
o Experience with Data Warehousing
o Strong Data Analysis & Profiling skills
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
o Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills & Experience
o Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. risk, compliance, finance, controls).
o Exposure to large-scale data platforms, modern data architectures or cloud ecosystems.
o Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks and privacy considerations.
o Experience supporting data modernization or legacy platform migration initiatives.
o Experience of working within a System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile project environment (Agile Central, JIRA, Confluence)
o Experience working with Cloud Platforms.
