This role is critical for driving the adoption and value of our existing data and analytic solutions, initiating new data and analytic solutions based on business needs, and performing and prototyping ad-hoc analysis that drives insights and business value. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with various business units to ensure our data and analytics strategies align with and support business goals. Additionally, this individual will be the main evangelist for driving the adoption of AI products, whether purchased or internally developed, across the company.
As the Data Science & Analytics Engagement Lead, you will:

Drive the adoption and value of existing data and analytic solutions.

Initiate new data and analytic solution builds based on business needs.

Function as the liaison with leads in relevant business roles regarding reporting strategy.

Engage with the business to ensure the data and analytic vision and reporting solutions are properly communicated and adopted.

Gather business needs and priorities.

Obtain approvals from the business on key portfolio choices

Aid the business in responding to key business questions.

Leverage detailed knowledge of available data and strong capability in enterprise reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Azure

Stay abreast of ongoing initiatives withing business organizations

Plan adaptations to BI solutions to align with changing business needs

Develop and implement advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to solve complex business problems.

Analyze large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights and drive strategic decisions.

Collaborate with data engineers to design and optimize data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity.

Conduct predictive and prescriptive analytics to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and recommend strategic initiatives.

Experiment with and evaluate emerging data science technologies and methodologies to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.

Act as the main evangelist for driving the adoption of AI products, whether purchased or internally developed, across the company.

Promote the benefits and applications of AI solutions to various business units.

Ensure the integration and optimal use of AI products to enhance business processes and outcomes.

Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Work closely with IT, product development, and other teams to integrate data science solutions into existing systems and workflows.

Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Our expectations:

15+ years of total experience, including 8+ years using Data Science techniques to answer key business questions with data
-
Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
-
Excellent command of Data tools, such as Azure Synapse, SAP BO/BW/SAC, Data Factory, SQL DW, Databricks, Data Factory, Power BI or similar

Good grasp of Data Science/BI/DW/ETL tools

Effective collaboration skills with stakeholders across the whole organizations, from different business areas and geographies

Ability to thirve in a start-up environment, proposing solutions, setting up processes

Perfect command of English
Work Timing & Location

Office – Pune (Pimple Saudagar), India. Current office presence policy – 4 days/week

Typical Working Hours – any 9 hrs between 10:30 AM and 9:30 PM IST
