Data Scientist to join our technology and analytics team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and translating data into actionable business insights.
The role requires strong analytical thinking, programming expertise, and practical experience with machine learning and statistical techniques. The candidate will work closely with technology, product, and business teams to develop data-driven solutions that support organizational objectives.
Experience handling large-scale datasets is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, process, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and implement machine learning and statistical models.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within large datasets.
- Build predictive and forecasting models to support business decisions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical testing.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Evaluate model performance and continuously improve analytical solutions.
- Apply appropriate data science techniques to real-world business problems.
- Maintain clear documentation of models, methodologies, and analytical processes.
- Stay updated with developments in AI, machine learning, analytics, and data technologies.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
- Experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or equivalent.
- Understanding of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib.
- Strong knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Good understanding of databases and data analytics concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Exposure to deep learning, NLP, Generative AI, or MLOps is an advantage.
