The DC Engineer Specialist manages LAN/WAN infrastructure, offers L2 support, implements network monitoring tools, and ensures network security and documentation.
Job Description Job Location:
- Chennai, Mumbai, Pune
- 6-12 years in network administration with a focus on LAN/WAN environments.
- Manage and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including critical network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Provide L2 support by troubleshooting and resolving network issues; escalate to L3 support as needed.
- Implement and oversee network performance monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance, health, and security.
- Optimize network resources for efficiency.
- Manage network security via patches, access controls, and breach monitoring.
- Handle backup procedures for network configurations and conduct regular disaster recovery tests.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network setups, procedures, and policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to support network services.

- Exposure to a wide array of network technologies and enterprise tools.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and security.
- Proficiency in network device management (switches, routers, firewalls).

- Experience with VLANs, VPNs, and network security practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Nagios or SolarWinds.
- Solid understanding of QoS and network optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
