Roles & Responsibilities:
Contours Evaluation
- Perform STO Contours evaluation in line with comfort design guidelines (DG); analyse and generate contours as per comfort requirements with respect to vehicle architecture.
Seat Comfort Development
- Lead design and development of seat comfort features including seat heaters, ventilation systems, and climate-controlled seats.
- Ensure compliance with ergonomic standards and optimize human factors for driver and passenger comfort.
Human Comfort & Ergonomics
- Conduct pressure mapping analysis and human posture studies for various seating positions (driver, passenger, easy entry/exit).
- Perform H-point, torso, cushion angle simulation to validate occupant positioning and comfort.
Validation & Testing
- Plan and execute seat comfort validation and testing, including thermal performance, airflow, and durability tests.
- Develop test-CAE correlation strategies to improve predictive accuracy.
CAE & Simulation
- Utilize CAE tools for comfort prediction and collaborate with simulation teams for design optimization.
- Interpret simulation results and provide actionable insights for design improvements.
Regulatory Compliance
- Collaborate with seating regulations team to ensure compliance with global standards and OEM requirements.
Innovation & Expertise
- Act as subject matter expert in human comfort engineering, driving innovation in seating technologies.
- Benchmark competitor products and integrate best practices into development.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of comfort features.
- Support customer presentations and technical reviews.
