JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary: Regal Rexnord is seeking a proactive and experienced professional with over 5+ years of expertise in industrial mechanical power transmission(Gear Box). This role will be responsible for independently managing and executing multiple initiatives, including New Product Development, Technology Enhancements, Engineer-to-Order (ETO), and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects.
Major Responsibilities: This position will include the following activities:
- Identify and implement cost-out ideas to improve product value and reduce manufacturing expenses.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of gearbox components, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
- Lead and manage Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects to enhance product performance and cost efficiency.
- Independently coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and procurement to drive project success.
- Conduct supplier Process Failure Analysis (PFA) reviews to ensure quality and reliability of sourced components.
- Perform detailed quality checks on gearbox part drawings to ensure compliance with design standards and specifications.
- Demonstrate strong skills in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Create and modify 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Understand and perform design calculations to validate product functionality and durability.
- Identify all drive system components, prepare Bills of Materials, and any other documents necessary for ordering and processing release of drawings, parts, or specifications.
- Support in creating design documents, installation instructions, customer data sheets etc.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years in Product design and VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) projects, preferably involving industrial rotating equipment such as gearboxes, couplings and bearings.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Pro-E/Creo etc.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle, product data/document management systems (PDM/DDM), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, with adaptability in dynamic work environments.
- Enthusiastic about continuous learning and professional development within a collaborative and fast-paced manufacturing setting.
