Job Description
Responsibilities

• Provision software into multiple cloud environments using infrastructure as code frameworks.
• Perform software installation, configuration changes, and upgrades via automated tooling and configuration management.
• Configure supporting services of applications not limited to GSLB (Global Server Load Balancer), load balancer (haproxy), monitoring, and security tools.
• Perform application, system, and network troubleshooting to provide problem resolution of infrastructure faults and customer usage issues.
• Produce RCA (Root Cause Analysis) findings that focus on recommendations to learn from and avoid problem recurrence.
• Provides input to Engineering and vendors on defects and required enhancements.
• Proactively identify and automate repetitive tasks.
• Provide regular review and updates to documentation of an application including infrastructure diagrams, procedures for common tasks, and incident mitigation.

Technical Skills Required
Key Skills : Golang Developer, Microservices Architecture, Any cloud

• Expertise in configuring and managing Linux systems.
• Proven experience using scripting languages to automate tasks. Python, shell, and Go are preferred.
• Working knowledge of configuration and infrastructure management tools. Terraform and Ansible preferred.
• Experience in large compute environments utilizing a mix of virtual are physical compute resources from multiple providers. AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Openstack experience a plus.
• Understanding of modern version control systems. Git is primarily used.
• Proficient using modern tools for system observability. Experience identifying additional metrics to better monitor applications. Hands on knowledge of Prometheus, Nagios/OP5, and Splunk are beneficial.

Other Requirements

• Be proficient in verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrate proven experience in a demanding environment.
• Must be reliable and accountable for work assigned. Experience with tracking tools like Jira preferred.
• Familiar with common methodologies of working like SRE, DevOps, Agile and Scrum.
• Well versed in common incident, problem, and change management practices.
• Demonstrate strong reverse engineering skills when diagnosing unfamiliar systems and applications.
• At scale there are anomalies that are hard to detect, so the ability to think analytically, rather than procedurally, to uncloak problems is paramount.
• When standard operating procedures don't have expected results, you will need to be able to be able to improvise fully.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Generally requires 2+ years of related experience.
