About the Role
Enterpret is looking for a DevOps Architect ready to make their mark as our very first dedicated DevOps hire. You’ll be at the centre of how we architect, automate, and scale everything we build—this is your chance to create systems from scratch and leave your fingerprint on a high-growth product. Working closely with our CTO and founding engineering teams, you’ll define and run the pipelines, infrastructure, and automation powering a cutting-edge customer feedback intelligence platform. Your decisions and execution will shape how quickly our teams move, and how reliably we serve users. At Enterpret, we operate with a flat hierarchy. This role is titled Member of Technical Staff (MTS), but carries full ownership and scope equivalent to an DevOps Architect. If you care more about building and owning than about titles, you'll thrive here.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and evolve Enterpret’s AWS infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), building for scale, security, and resilience right from the start.
- Develop and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines, bringing new features and improvements to production quickly and safely.
- Lead the setup of monitoring, observability, and incident response using the latest tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)—you’ll keep systems fast and reliable as we grow.
- Automate everything: Write scripts and build internal tools that eliminate manual work, empower developers, and boost engineering performance.
- Team up with top engineers to drive DevOps excellence, troubleshoot tricky issues, and share best practices on cloud, architecture, and automation.
- Own the evolution of our DevOps practices—evaluate new tools, recommend technologies, and help set company-wide standards as we expand.
What It Takes
- 7–15 years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles, showing deep hands-on expertise and a history of scaling distributed systems.
- Mastery of AWS and core services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC) with a strong command of Terraform or CloudFormation for automation.
- Rich experience building CI/CD workflows (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and optimizing the full release pipeline.
- Proficiency in monitoring and logging platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch.
- Solid skills with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS/EKS for containerization and orchestration.
- Advanced scripting abilities (Bash, Python, or similar) for automating infrastructure tasks and tooling.
- Problem-solving instincts, collaborative drive, and a bias for action in startup-paced environments.
