The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing the infrastructure needs, ensuring security and compliance, driving DevSecOps initiatives, and maintaining code quality. The role requires collaboration with the engineering team and mentorship of junior engineers while utilizing various infrastructure tools and languages.

Experience:
- 7+ years of professional DevOps experience, working with a variety of technologies, and have increasingly impactful accomplishments
Role and Responsibilities:
- Technical domain expert: Diligently handle new infrastructure needs based on business and technical requirements, working with the Engineering team to ensure infrastructure is secure, reliable, maintainable, performing and cost efficient. .
- Security and compliance: Owns the security and compliance of our stack. Drives prioritization of infrastructure roadmap and influences prioritization of technical needs with the engineering team to improve the overall system security.
- Drive DevSecOps initiatives: Help development teams address operation and security issues efficiently to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Code Quality: Sets and enforces the standard for writing stable, correct, and maintainable code
- Driven: Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and strong problem-solving skills
- Leadership: mentoring and training more junior engineers
Requirements (Must have):
- Strong experience with Pulumi and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills in Typescript, Bash, or similar.
- Experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS in highly compliant and regulated industries.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Pulumi and AWS, including automated QA and DevSecOps
- Experience building system alerts and dashboards for different stakeholders in New Relic, PagerDuty and AWS Cloudwatch
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience managing infrastructure to meet ISO27001 and SOC2 certification requirements
Nice to have:
- Experience using AWS ECS
- Experience in managing Java and Kotlin apps

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Eager to learn and take up new challenges.
