Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our R&D team at REAL. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with our consultant DevOps team to prioritize, schedule, and implement DevOps tasks.. This role requires you to be opinionated in the direction that DevOps practices are going and give recommendations and take the initiative for the long-term health of the infrastructure.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Take a hands-on role in managing our Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring tools like Datadog.
Work closely with our consultant DevOps team to prioritize, schedule, and implement DevOps tasks.
Be the first hire in our dedicated DevOps team, playing a pivotal role in shaping its future direction and growth.
Help lead the overall technical vision and strategy for all things DevOps.
Discuss with and educate other team members in DevOps methodology, design, and best practices.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Comfortable in an agile, fast-paced startup environment.
Education and Experience:
Degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
Hands-on experienced DevOps engineer with at least 5 years of experience as an individual contributor.
In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
In-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud.
Significant experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
Experienced with performance monitoring tools such as Datadog and have a strong understanding of infrastructure and application performance metrics.
Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) is nice to have.
