About the role

The Digital Marketing Specialist will help elevate our tactical implementation as we accelerate marketing-led growth for Volk. This is a global position with hands-on responsibility across all digital platforms. The digital specialist will manage all our social media accounts, digital advertising, and email campaigns, as well as supporting website development. They will be able to translate tactical plans into the activation of our campaigns in line with targeted KPIs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the ROI of all earned, owned, and paid media.
  • Creation, implementation, and continual optimisation of the company’s digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn etc) in line with Marketing strategy and budget.
  • Optimisation of the company website, developing user experience and content where required, whilst driving SEO and SEM.
  • Management of company social media channels including content planning, scheduling, and posting, plus community management, A/B testing, monitoring, and reporting on performance.
  • Owning the content schedule/posting of the company blog with ongoing SEO enhancement.
  • Creation, implementation, and evaluation of the company’s e-blast campaigns.
  • Report on monthly digital advertising and social media performance against targets, ensuring optimisation of channels and spend.
  • Liaise with the Marketing Communications Manager, product managers and graphic designers to ensure clear direction as part of campaign set-up.
  • Keep relevant stakeholders including the sales team up to speed with campaign status, engaging with key internal customers and hosting training where necessary.
  • Report on wider campaign results i.e. lead generation from promotions and URL tracking.
  • Undertake competitor research and identify new digital opportunities where applicable.

About You

  • An energetic, enthusiastic, and hard-working self-starter. High expectations for self and others regarding delivery and performance.
  • Naturally curious and customer-orientated, motivated to learn our business dynamics.
  • Takes pride in excellent communication skills including copywriting and an eye for design. Pays attention to detail and champions brand consistency.
  • Keen to quantify results. Comfortable being hands-on with data and reporting out to others.
  • Fully fluent in English both verbally and in writing with a polished, articulate style

Essential experience:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar digital marketing role, ideally in a healthcare field.
  • Demonstrable expertise in all aspects of digital marketing, managing campaigns across social media and paid search advertising, including retargeting/remarketing.
  • High proficiency with platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO/SEM, understanding how to apply keyword search analysis to optimise campaign targeting.
  • Strong knowledge of managing and developing social media channels using social management platforms and listening tools such as Hootsuite.
  • Proficient lead generation campaign management from start to finish, measuring and analysing results/ROI and adapting approach as necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and copywriting skills, communicating effectively with an appreciation for appropriate tone of voice by platform and customer/stakeholder segment.
  • Strong experience using Shopify, HubSpot and other Content Management Systems.
  • Strong experience using email service providers
  • Working within brand guidelines and maintaining accountability for organisational compliance.
  • Confidence working with numbers; ability to pull data and structure basic analysis (e.g. campaign performance, trend identification).
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders to organise and drive multiple workstreams, prioritising effectively during busy times or when urgent needs arise.
  • Knowledge of relevant content and database laws (e.g. copyright and data protection, GDPR)

Desirable:

  • Work in medical devices or a similar regulated environment.
  • CIM qualifications or comparable digital marketing education.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, video editing platforms and design programs such as Adobe Illustrator.
  • Process driven with an appreciation for continuous improvement.
