Director, Business Application

The Director Business Application Architecture will take the lead in formulating and executing strategies for the implementation, configuration, user adoption, maintenance, security, compliance, and day-to-day operational support of enterprise applications, whether used internally or externally. They will work closely with departments such as accounting, sales, marketing, finance, and engineering, pinpointing areas for enhancement and proactively integrating technology-driven services and procedures to bolster strategic aims and operational effectiveness. 

Responsibilities 

• Proficiently engaging with stakeholders and thoroughly documenting both process and technical architecture. 

• Overseeing multiple project deliveries supporting various products or lines of business. 

• Creating, supporting, and implementing best practices, procedures, and technology standards. 

• Coordinating enhancements, updates, and maintenance to ensure highly reliable and cost-effective operations. 

• Leading the project proposal intake process by collaborating closely with key stakeholders to identify viable options that meet business needs. 

• Maintaining applications, ensuring they are updated to current versions as needed. Additionally, serving as an advocate for information security and effectively managing compliance requirements. 

• Ensuring appropriate measures for confidentiality, data integrity, availability, authentication, and access control are established across the application stack. 

• Collaborating within IT, cross-functionally, and with vendors to successfully identify, prioritize, and resolve issues. Ensuring that issues and tickets are tracked, managed, and documented effectively. 

• Ensuring comprehensive documentation, including knowledge base/wiki pages, for all process flows, system documentation, business processes, data objects, and database architecture. 

• Demonstrating experience in executing organizational vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations. 

• Implementing improvements for Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) to ensure failover and resiliency on critical business applications, such as ERP and others. 

• Creating business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals. 

• Taking ownership of best design practices and architecture for the Salesforce (SFDC) footprint in a comprehensive manner. 

• Defining platform architecture for the entire enterprise application portfolio and guaranteeing alignment with the platform strategy of all major software solutions throughout the commercial enterprise. 

• Playing a pivotal role in establishing Governance and Standard Work across the CRM Domain, in collaboration with commercial leadership worldwide. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years' experience OR Master's Degree with at least 12 years' progressive experience in SFDC/CPQ implementations as a configuration/technical solution analyst. 

• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end, cross-functional, and integrated business processes pertaining to SFDC and NetSuite financial modules, including integrations with extended business systems. 

• Expertise in QTC configuration, covering product master data setup, pricing, Order Management, Contract Management, and Billing. 

• Background in operations, with a demonstrated ability to grasp the intricacies of integrating a data-driven connected enterprise. 

• Proficiency in business system analysis and experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. 

• Strong capability to articulate a vision and roadmap aligned with corporate strategy, integrating effectively with cross-functional IT groups, and inspiring individuals at all organizational levels. 

• Dedication to delivering outstanding user experiences for both internal and external customers. 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as required.
