We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Data Science Manager to join our Asset Servicing Deal Management and Controls team. This role is located in Pune, India.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Orchestrates data science technical and organizational leadership to effectively grow, promote, and deploy data products in support of Asset Servicing Deal Management and Controls strategic priorities, including revenue analytics, revenue control analytics, controls architecture, and streamlining first-line-of-defense support data structures
- Develop organizational leadership in techniques and methods to support data-driven decision making. Deliver actionable insights across domain specialties including model science, feature science, and controls science capabilities
- Develop team skills in application of AI capabilities across all domains relevant to deal management and controls, including revenue control analytics, deal pricing controls, controls monitoring, technical demonstrations, and the deal management lifecycle
- Establish relationships to foment a culture of data sharing across BNY and to obtain data and subject knowledge needed to support advanced analytics and a robust controls architecture
- Oversee the development of consultative partnerships with internal teams to understand their strategic objectives, key performance indicators, and reporting requirements for deal management and controls functions
- Oversee the discovery of business insights to guide strategic direction and drive organizational efficiencies, effectiveness, and outcomes in revenue processes and controls. Recruit and develop staff including professional and college hires from leading-edge institutions

Stay abreast of technology innovations and trends and identify areas of improvement across BNY and externally through academic and vendor relationships. Contribute to budgets and operating plans based on revenue control analytics needs
Partner with key Asset Servicing business leaders to lead one or more complex initiatives with direct strategic impact by maintaining and growing cross-organizational relationships, leveraging data science across the enterprise, including:
- Collaboration within the team and broader BNY relationships to understand Asset Servicing deal management controls business, how to obtain data and subject knowledge needed to support advanced analytics and controls-informed decisions & transformation
- Defining the scope of strategic initiatives
- Owning and driving creation of deliverables
- Developing and incorporating insights from qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Project management for strategic projects:
• Define scope, timeline, key milestones for project work
• Set meetings, define agendas - Develop insights from thoughtful, thorough data analysis:
• Partner with business SMEs and competitor and market intelligence teams to collect quantitative and qualitative inputs
• Synthesize information and communicate insights and “so what’s” back to business leaders and the Asset Servicing Strategy head -
Connecting the dots to deliver a “One Asset Servicing” and “One BNY” strategy
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master’s degree in business, data science, controls architecture, or other technical field a plus
- 15-25 years of total work experience preferred, including significant exposure to revenue analytics, controls frameworks, and first-line-of-defense data structures
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Highly proficient with data science tools, including Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, and Python
- Very strong communications skills, including listening, writing, speaking, and strategic framing
- Asset Servicing industry knowledge and experience; controls architecture, finance, or relevant consulting experience highly valued
- Tireless commitment to team success
- Strong work ethic and desire to drive sound, data-driven results and recommendations
