Job Summary:
Plans and executes electrical design and development projects of moderate scope for medical devices. Contributes to product innovation and quality by delivering compliant electrical systems and collaborating across functions to meet customer and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical and electromechanical systems from concept through design transfer.
- Generate system and subsystem requirements, schematics, PCB layouts, and cable/harness designs.
- Execute verification and validation activities, including test protocols and reports.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure design for manufacturability and testability.
- Coordinate and provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate documentation of designs and processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to support sourcing and testing activities.
- Apply Fortive Business System tools to drive continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions.
- Performs Failure Analyses and Investigation reports.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in electrical design and development.
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in electrical design and development with Master's
Role and Competencies Requirements:
- Proficiency in analog/digital circuit design and PCB development.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Visio, and design tools (e.g., Cadence/Orcad, PSPICE).
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and ESD protection.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Domestic and international travel as required.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands on experience using Digital Multimeters, and mixed signal Oscilloscopes
- Uses general hand and laboratory tools.
- Familiar with Design for manufacturing
