Job Summary:
Lead electrical design and development for complex medical device systems, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design projects from concept to transfer.
- Develop and validate complex electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and cable/harness designs for medical devices.
- Specify electronic components and ensure design for manufacturability and testability.
- Solve complex design challenges using innovative approaches and best practices to optimize performance and manufacturability.
- Lead technical reviews and provide guidance to engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and manage supplier technical support.
- Drive continuous improvement using Fortive Business Systems tools.
- Performs Failure Analyses and Investigation reports.
- Mentor junior engineers,
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum: 7+ years experience with BSEE; Preferred: 5+ years with MSEE.
Role and Competencies Requirements:
- Expertise in analog/digital circuit design and PCB tools (Cadence/Orcad).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong knowledge of design for manufacturing and testability.
- Familiarity with PSPICE and design for manufacturing/testability.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and ESD.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Knowledge of applicable safety and test standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio.
- Effective communication and project management skills.
- Uses general hand and laboratory tools.
- Domestic and International travel as required
