Engineer II-DevOps

Role Purpose:
As an Engineer II in DevOps, you will be instrumental in enhancing our software development and deployment processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability. You will leverage your technical skills to optimize our systems and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes, ensuring smooth and efficient releases. Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and enhancements into existing pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization for scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on project goals, timelines, and requirements.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements in all DevOps activities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, and configurations. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster continuous learning and improvement.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- 2-4 years of experience in a DevOps, system administration, or related role.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
