Job Details

• Performs requirement reviews or sprint planning sessions and develops understanding of expectations
• Translates business and technical requirements into test cases, test scenarios and scripts
• Assists in evaluating testability of business and technical requirements based on business/functional requirement document, use cases, user stories and/or solution design documents
• Provides feedback on the target technical specifications from testability and feasibility point of view
• Evaluates quality of business requirements for medium to large projects based on Business Requirement Document (BRD), use cases and/or solution design documents
• Supports and helps establish systems environment standards, and quality parameters and targets
• Collaborates with project stakeholders to create a structured project test plan for all functional and technical system components, and defines assumptions, risks and user acceptance criteria
• Assists in coding and documenting custom testing frameworks and requirement traceability matrix
• Assists with setup and maintenance of test environments for both manual and automated testing
• Leverages automated testing suites, explores edge cases and drives quality with development teams
• Gathers test result data, assigns severity levels to issues, and documents accurate system response
• Performs initial analysis of defects, conducts root cause analysis, and escalates issues as per protocols
• Establishes processes and tool sets to maintain automation scripts and generates regular test reports for faster bug tracking and rapid reporting
• Partners with quality engineers to simplify and modernize testing tools and techniques to ensure code maximum coverage and constantly improve the ways of testing the products
• Actively participates in requirement/design reviews; identifies gaps during reviews and probes for detailed explanation of expectations

Education:

• • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.

Preferred Certifications:

• • Certified Associate in Software Testing
  • Certified Software Quality Analyst
  • Certified Test Engineer

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• • 2+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, in system/software quality and testing.
