Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java, Microservices architecture, API development, and database technologies (Oracle/PostgreSQL) to design, develop, and manage robust database-driven applications. This role involves working with Java-based frameworks, cloud environments, and database technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead complex projects.
Application Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Experience with Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud).
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration between services.
- Develop and implement database schemas (Oracle & PostgreSQL), ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency, and JVM internals.
- Familiarity with securing Java applications using OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and other security protocols.
System Design & Integration:
- Collaborate with application architects and business analysts to design and integrate Java-based solutions with databases and external systems.
- Ensure seamless integration between Oracle/PostgreSQL databases and front-end/middleware applications.
Testing & Documentation:
- Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests for Java-based applications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for application designs, database schemas, and system workflows.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
- Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including SQL tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Development Practices:
- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Understanding of middleware technologies and APIs for database interaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
