Job Summary:
We are seeking a Test Report Engineer to support the creation of technical reports for manual transmissions (MT), dual-clutch transmissions (DCT), heavy-duty transmissions (HDT), and eDrive gearboxes. The role involves analyzing test data from bench and vehicle tests, documenting results in English using standard templates, and integrating key visuals such as diagrams, gear measurements, surface roughness, and microscopic images. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of gearbox architecture, basic gear design, and be capable of interpreting quality and laboratory investigation documents. Attention to detail and the ability to clearly present technical findings are essential for success in this role.
Major Responsibilities
- Support on test Report for MT - TM's, DCT - TM's, HDT-TM's and eDrive-GBX's from bench and/or vehicle tests
- Write Report based on Templates in english
- Include necessary pictures, diagrams and quality documents (e.g. gear measurement document, surface roughness
- Place statistical data, e.g. EoL Data, test program data, ... within the report
- Place material investigation documents, e.G. Microscopie-pictures from cracked, areas
Knowledge and Education
- Understanding of basic mechanical gearbox architecture and design
- Knowledge (basic) of gear design and able to interpret basic gear measurement
- Knowledge of quality documents e.G. roughness measurement, tolerances, flatness, surface, ....
- Able to interpret torque/speed values in test rig documents
- Able to interpret (basic) laboratory investigation results of e.g. hardness , CHD-Diagram, crack surface (fatigue crack vs. Peak load failure)
