About the Role: As an Engineering Manager at SMS Magic, you will lead a dynamic engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining our innovative Conversational Messaging Product. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet both business and customer needs. Your role will focus on solving complex technical challenges, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving engineering excellence.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in software development and leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of 8-10 engineers.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Python, React JS, Spring Boot, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge on Salesforce.
- Hands-on experience with back-end and front-end development.
- Strong knowledge of architecture design, microservices, and high-level diagrams.
- Cloud deployment and development experience with Docker, Containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of API integrations, application security (OAuth2.0, JWT), and scalable system design.
- Proficiency in databases (SQL/NoSQL), algorithms, data structures, and queueing systems.
- Experience working with QA teams, test strategies, and cloud deployment tools like Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and unit testing frameworks (Pytest/Mockit).
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, perform code reviews, and maintain best practices.
- Design scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product development and deployment processes.
- Identify risks, foresee issues, and guide the team through technical challenges.
- Own the product's end-to-end lifecycle from development to cloud deployment.
