Role Description:
In this role, you will be a key team member and contributor within the first line of defense ETRC Assessment & Reporting pillar, with a primary focus on measurement, analytics, data-driven risk insights and visualization. You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing internal technology risk identification programs akin to the RCSA, underpinned by advanced analytics, automated metrics, dashboards, and reporting. The role will play a key part in embedding a culture of technology risk identification through data analytics, visualization, and automation, leveraging structured and unstructured data to identify current and emerging risk themes across BlackRock. As a Vice President, you will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrate strong ownership of deliverables, and influence outcomes through insight driven and value-added analysis
ETRC Assessment & Reporting function team works closely with firm wide BlackRock senior management, engineers, subject matter experts and risk stakeholders (Functional Technology Risk Leads, Risk Delegates, etc.) to create risk exposure transparency and define and prioritise risk mitigating solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Identification & Risk & Control Self-Assessment (‘RCSA’) Program:
Support and identify enhancements for firm wide Technology Risk Identification programs centered on the annual RCSA program.
Support the BLK annual RCSA process across multiple first line technology entities & teams, collaborating with first line Risk Delegates & Functional Tech Risk & Control Leads to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
Collaborating with the other 3 ETRC pillars and other risk partners to identify emerging risks.
PowerBI Reporting: Support the development, maintenance & enhancement of executive-level and operational business reports using Power BI, leveraging technology risk and control data.
Analysis, Automation & Reporting:
Design, develop, and implement scalable reporting and analytics solutions, including automation, to meet management and regulatory reporting requirements.
Leverage Python and other automation techniques to improve data processing, analytics workflows, and reporting efficiency.
Execute deliverables to deliver timely, accurate, and efficiencies for scheduled reporting production processes.
Prepare, deliver & enhance comprehensive PowerPoint presentations for business leads, including reports on BlackRock Technology Risk Indicators known as Enterprise Risk Indicators (‘ERIs’), Aladdin Client Technology Risk Indicators, Tech Debt & various other technology risk focused dashboards.
Continuously enhance reporting processes, analytics, and tools to improve efficiency, productivity and effectiveness.
Support the production of existing Aladdin Platform Engineering & Aladdin Product Engineering and firmwide BLK reports.
Metrics: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of technology risk and control metrics by working closely with various stakeholders.
Productivity: Identify and implement process improvements (including Artificial Intelligence – AI options) to enhance team performance, including the adoption of key technologies to automate & improve processes and stakeholder experience.
Stakeholder & Project Management: Act as a trusted analytics partner to senior stakeholders, managing multiple initiatives in parallel, setting clear expectations, and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications
Analytics & Reporting: Strong expertise in data analytics & visualization, measurement frameworks, Power BI, and automation, with the ability to identify trends, measure control effectiveness, and present actionable insights. Hands-on experience with Power BI, data modelling, and Python for analytics and automation is strongly preferred.
Technology Risk: A core understanding and experience of technology risk frameworks and related assessment & reporting activities.
Project & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to independently manage complex deliverables, influence senior stakeholders, and translate analytical insights into clear business actions.
Collaboration & Relationship-Building: Proven ability to partner with diverse teams (technical and non-technical), cultivating a culture of shared accountability for risk management.
Problem Solving: Structured critical thinker with superior problem-solving abilities who can organize people under pressure and pull in key decision-makers to prioritize issues.
Intellectual Curiosity: Strong grasp of content, business models, interest in technology, markets, and geopolitical trends.

Industry Exposure: 9-15 years of experience in asset management, financial services or technology in a technology operational risk-related role.
Markets, Asset Class / Products: Working knowledge of financial markets, asset classes (Alts / Private Markets, Commodities, Equities, Fixed Income, FX, etc.) & products (ETFs, Whole Portfolio, etc.).

Our hybrid work model
