We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle EPM Consultant specializing in Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS) and Planning (EPBCS/PBCS) to support the delivery of end-to-end Oracle Cloud EPM implementations. This role requires strong functional and techno-functional expertise to design, configure, and optimize financial consolidation and planning solutions aligned with business objectives and Oracle best practices.
Role OverviewThe Oracle EPM Consultant will play a critical role across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, application configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The consultant will collaborate closely with finance stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and automated EPM solutions that support financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

- Participate in finance and business workshops to gather functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business requirements into FCCS and Planning solution designs aligned with Oracle Cloud EPM capabilities.
- Define application structure, including chart of accounts, entities, hierarchies, and metadata frameworks.
- Prepare functional design documents (FDDs), process flows, and configuration specifications.
- Configure and support Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS) application components, including:
- Dimensions and metadata structures
- Currency translation and FX rate setup
- Consolidation logic, eliminations, and ownership structures
- Journals, validations, and controls
- Develop and test business rules, calculations, and system validations.
- Support reconciliation and validation of financial data during testing cycles.
- Configure Planning applications to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning processes.
- Design and build:
- Data entry forms and workflows
- Calculation rules (allocations, drivers, forecasting logic)
- Dashboards, reports, and Smart View templates
- Support driver-based planning models and financial forecasting capabilities.
- Support design and implementation of data integrations between ERP systems and EPM applications.
- Configure Data Integration/Data Management for metadata and data loads.
- Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation processes.
- Support automation using EPM Automate and scripting where applicable.
- Support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Assist with defect resolution, root cause analysis, and retesting activities.
- Participate in environment migrations (DEV → TEST → PROD) and deployment activities.

- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including configuration guides, test scripts, and user manuals.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide knowledge transfer to client teams and support organizations.
- Ensure adherence to documentation standards and audit requirements.
- Work closely with finance teams, IT, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Provide regular status updates on deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
- Support solution walkthroughs, demonstrations, and validation sessions with stakeholders.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud EPM implementations.
- Strong experience in:
- FCCS (consolidation, eliminations, translation, journals)
- EPBCS/PBCS (planning, budgeting, forecasting, calculations)
- Proven experience in application build, configuration, and testing (not just support).
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, especially consolidation and planning processes.
- Experience with Smart View, forms, dashboards, and calculation manager.
- Experience with Data Integration / Data Management (FDMEE or Cloud Data Integration).
- Knowledge of EPM Automate, Groovy scripting, or automation tools.
- Exposure to ERP-to-EPM integrations.
- Familiarity with Oracle EPM Cloud implementation methodology and best practices.
- Configured FCCS and Planning applications aligned with business requirements
- Tested and validated financial data, business rules, and integrations
- Completed documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer sessions
- Successful support through UAT and go-live phases
