Role Summary:
The Supplier Expeditor is responsible for monitoring on‑site supplier production schedules and ensuring the timely execution of Flowserve Purchase Orders. This role plays a critical part in preventing delays by holding suppliers accountable, driving production progress, and ensuring alignment with project timelines. The Supplier Expeditor will analyze supply chain risks, coordinate closely with procurement teams, and ensure accurate, real‑time ERP data updates to support smooth project execution.
Responsibilities:
Track, review, and monitor supplier production schedules to ensure all Flowserve orders are executed per project timelines.
Review and prioritize purchase orders and production plans to optimize delivery performance.
Drive supplier accountability for meeting order milestones and resolving issues related to supply, quality, service, and invoicing.
Develop and support mitigation plans with suppliers to address risks or delivery delays.
Conduct physical inspections at supplier locations to validate production progress when required.
Facilitate effective communication between suppliers, procurement specialists, planning, engineering, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure timely escalation and closure of order holds caused by internal dependencies (e.g., drawing approvals, NCR responses).
Represent Flowserve during customer witness or surveillance visits at supplier facilities.
Oversee the creation and submission of daily expediting reports summarizing purchase order status, production milestones, delays, risks, and recovery actions.
Provide support to procurement teams by handling additional adhoc tasks required for successful project execution.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in supplier expediting or related functions.
Strong ability to track, maintain, and enforce adherence to project schedules.
Excellent coordination and communication skills for supplier and internal stakeholder management.
Ability to travel 100% (extensive supplier-site visits required).
Must be based in the Sangli/Kolhapur region.
Hands‑on expediting experience in Casting, Machining component, Fabrication, Forging, Fasteners/Fittings
Strong understanding of supplier production workflows and order tracking.
