Position Overview:
Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) is based in Bangalore, India and is engaged in the development of advanced aerospace and aviation technologies and software products.
The Boeing India Engineering team is currently looking for Associate Software Engineer - Embedded C++ to join their team in Bangalore, India.
Position Responsibilities:
- Decompose Tier 3 System Level Requirements to Software Requirements
- Develop High Level and Low Level Software Requirements for Platform Software and Middleware
- Design and Develop Device Drivers for Software Requirements Defined
- Should be able to author Requirement Specifications documents, writes functional and nonfunctional test cases based on the product requirements.
- Estimate software development effort, work with Technical Leads.
- Posess Good Working Knowledge in Agile Development Environment with good understanding of Agile Tools.
- Work with tool suite such as GIT LAB, Open Arbor, Visual Studio Code, JIRA, Confluence etc.
- Hands on Experience in C, C++ with Device Driver Development for Real Time Systems
- Ability to understand automation framework, write and execute test scripts.
- Establish traceability from System Requirements to Software Requirements, Design and Code.
- Perform peer review of Software Requirements, Design and Code as per the defined Software Standards and Checklists.
- Support Verification and Validation Team in educating on Software Design and Requirements for Test Team to develop Tests.
- Support SRR (Systems Requirements Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews), CDR (Critical Design Reviews) and Formal Qualification.
- Support project management by providing periodic status and required metrics data.
- Be a good team player in the agile team. Candidate should possess excellent communications skills to participate in Requirement/Design/Code/Test reviews, have a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as modularity, scalability, testability, portability and maintainability.
- Support management and leads to ensure successful product deliveries.
- Identify, communicate and mitigate the Risk, issues and Opportunities on a timely manner.

Basic Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
- 5+ years of experience in software development in any real-time operating system environment, such as VxWorks or Deos
- 5+ years of experience with Device Driver Development.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good Experience in programming languages C, C++, Python.
- Good Knowledge in DO-178C Standard.
- Knowledge of Communication Protocols such as ARINC-429, Ethernet, RS-485.
- Knowledge of real-time target environments, including processor, communication protocols, simulation frameworks. Ability to build, integrate, test and debug Issues in Software components.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ) :
- Experience in developing real time software using Object Oriented Programming C++
- Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle
Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 4 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 3 years' related work experience.)
