Job Description

Be part of a team that is responsible for helping to modernize Finastra networks to become an industry leading Network as a Service (NaaS) provider for our internal developer and application teams. You will be working in both on-premises and cloud environments using leading industry tools leveraging best practices.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop automation workflows using platforms like Tufin and proprietary internal tools.

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

  • Utilize scripting and programming languages including PythonJavaTCL, and Expect to build scalable solutions.

  • Work with structured data formats and APIs, including YANGYAMLJSONXML, and REST APIs.

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies to prioritize tasks and communicate project updates to stakeholders.

  • Apply appropriate development methodologies (AgileWaterfall) based on project requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design intuitive user interfaces for Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) portals, ensuring data is presented in a user-friendly format.

  • Use tools like JiraBitBucket, or equivalents for task tracking, version control, and team collaboration, with a strong understanding of CI/CD practices.

  • Understand and apply Agile concepts such as EpicsUser Stories, and Sprints effectively.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to management on process improvements and best practices.

  • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) calls and contribute to incident resolution.

Network Technical Skills

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise and Data Center Networking.

  • Deep understanding of routing protocols including BGPOSPF, and EIGRP.

  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco Routing and Switching (IOS, IOS-XE).

  • Practical experience with Load Balancers such as BIG-IP/F5.

  • Working knowledge of Firewall and Security Appliances, including Checkpoint and Fortinet, and various IPSEC VPN configurations.

  • Experience with network management tools like FortiManager and SolarWinds.

  • Familiarity with Cloud Networking concepts in Azure and AWS, including VNETsExpressRoute, and Direct Connect.

Core Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in scripting and programming languages.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • High adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments.

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Visio.
