Provides services in the area of financial planning, accounting, controlling, reporting, performance management, tax, investor relations, treasury, and mergers and acquisitions.
Subfamily Description
Global Accounting (GAC) comprises global end-to-end accounting processes with high quality, timeliness, and continuous efficiency improvement. Covers processing of accounting transactions to ensure accurate reporting in accordance to Nokia's accounting and reporting principles and local statutory regulations.
Perform end-to-end intercompany accounting activities, including IC invoice posting, matching, validation, and reconciliations.
Execute IC reconciliation (AR/AP/GL alignment), balance confirmations, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Identify, develop, and support AI and automation solutions using RPA, Power Platform, and other digital technologies.
Coordinate IC netting cycles and ensure accurate clearing of balances during month-end close
Drive ageing analysis, root-cause investigation, and resolution of long-outstanding intercompany items.
Perform preventive and detective controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Ensure adherence to accounting policies, GAAP/IFRS, SOX/internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare reports, dashboards, analytics, and insights to support business and management decisions.
Collaborate with global stakeholders across Finance, AP, AR, Treasury, Tax, and Digital teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Ensure adherence to SLAs, quality standards, continuous improvement objectives, and demonstrate ownership and proactive problem-solving.
Must Have Skills
- 7+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Shared Services, including process automation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and AI/automation tools such as RPA, Power Platform, or Copilot.
- Understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial controls, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Experience in developing or supporting automation solutions to improve finance processes and operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data and digital technologies.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills and high attention to detail, accuracy, and continuous improvement mindset.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with automation tools (RPA/Power Platform)
- Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls
- Ability to work in a global, cross-cultural environment
