Position Summary:Redaptive is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Engineering Associate to join our team. This role requires a strong technical and analytical focus, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of metered energy data (electric, gas, and water) through detailed quality checks and validation processes. The position also involves analyzing measurement and verification (M&V) of data to assess energy savings performance for various EAAS projects. In addition to supporting front-line operations, this role demands expertise in troubleshooting metering issues, interpreting electrical diagrams, and optimizing data accuracy for reporting and decision-making.
Additionally, you will work directly with customers to resolve their issues and ensure their needs are met with Redaptive’s solutions. You will use your excellent communication skills, empathy, customer-first problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to deliver best-in-class support experiences for Redaptive customers. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement changes to make the customer care processes more efficient and effective.
Role & Responsibilities:
Meter Installation & Data Accuracy AssuranceIdentify installation errors and collaborate with the meter installation team to troubleshoot issues.
Review closeout/install documentation to ensure proper meter installation.
Define corrective actions for meter installation errors, commissioning issues, and configuration errors.
Validate and correct the quality of energy data (electric, gas & water) post-meter commissioning at facilities/buildings.
Ensure that all the basic checklist for successful meter readiness are completed before sharing the metered data with the customer.
Prepare electrical single-line diagrams for accurate asset mapping based on panel audit photos and closeout documents.
Study and analyze electrical single-line diagrams of facilities to understand energy distribution.
Provide technical support for optimizing asset labeling, asset grouping, and eliminating double counted circuits.
Identify the types of metered assets based on installation documents and categorize them correctly.
Verify circuit/asset tagging and ensure proper labeling alignment with the energy dashboard.
Prepare technical guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Ensure that metered sites are fully set up and ready for customers, with all essential configurations in place for viewing metered data.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure sites are integrated into Redaptive’s customer-facing platform and that access is provided within the agreed timelines.
Ensure customers can access metered data for Energy Star sustainability reporting and that sites are properly set up for monthly Energy Star submissions.
Required Abilities and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Good proficiency in reading and interpreting building, Electrical SLD & MEP design documents.
Good understanding of electrical parameters i.e., power quality, harmonics, power factor, phase angle, active power, reactive power, etc.
Technical knowledge of commercial electrical infrastructure – panels, connect types, switches, wiring, etc.
Knowledge of building electrical systems and controls (lighting, HVAC controls, motor controls, etc.)
Must be comfortable handling and organizing large quantities of information.
Strong proficiency in MS Office and mathematics.
Working experience in power meters, gas meters and water meters.
Experience (~3 years) in electrical panel audit and installation.
Experience providing support to the Lighting, HVAC, electrical, building engineering, metering, or other related industry preferred.
Experience with Salesforce, Sitetracker, and Microsoft Suite is highly preferred.
