Job Title - Finance Business Partner - India CSC
Job Purpose
- Reports to the GSC India Finance Director and works with CSC business partner to strengthen Customer Supply Chain-Commercial coordination and to create a more integrated and competitive Pharma business through the One-P&L
- Provides financial and business partnering support across India CSC comprising of Primary and Secondary logistics and warehousing within India to support delivery of the Supply Chain P&L and Cash (capex and inventory) commitments which is a key driver of One-P&L delivery.
- Ability to represent E2E Operations in absence of CSC Lead
- Support in Implementation of benchmarking, drive financial performance and continued cost to serve improvements, Route to Market evaluation and embed cash optimization / working capital and waste removal.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of the Financial strategy in line with Global GSC strategy to ensure (i) an appropriate balance is struck between delivery of short term financial commitments and long term value; (ii) productivity (Cost per case/CTS savings) is delivered without compromising supply chain’s commitment to safety, quality, compliance and supply; and (iii) the supply chain is always focused on maximizing enterprise value and returns
- Execute financial planning and update processes for the India CSC and is accountable for accuracy of forecasts
- Works closely with the CSC business leads to implement Supply Chain strategy and performance including productivity, capital investment, inventory, volume forecasts, risk management and quality and to drive end-to-end distribution performance on issues such as warehousing, distribution models, LSP contracts, inventories etc. Drives the performance of the key GSK Supply Chain Transformation goals within India
- Understand what influences CSC’s capital investment strategy, reviews projects according to the GoA and maintains oversight to ensure projects are executed as approved and with appropriate controls in place.
- Be the interface between business and Finance Hubs to ensure timely payments to vendors, timely execution of Controls, accurate reporting of Financials and adherence to month close time tables.
- Drive and influence Route to Market evaluation and business optimization/consolidations, and embed cash optimization / working capital and waste removal in annual plans
- Help drive process improvements and Root cause analysis in partnership with business function to improve overall performance.
- Ensure compliance to SOX and Internal Control Framework.
- Work on any assignment as directed.
Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience Required*
A. Educational Background
Minimum Level of Education - Chartered Accountant
Preferred Level of Education -
- Experienced with SAP/S4 HANNA, Business Reporting Tools (Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advance excel required
- Command over written and spoken English.
Area of Specialisation
- Supply chain experience in Pharma, FMCG
B. Job-Related Experience
Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required - 10-15 year's work experience in Pharmaceuticals or FMCG
C. Other Job-Related Skills/Background
- Proven finance partnering skills (including Scenario Building/ Financial modelling/Questioning & Challenging)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to make complexity simple
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and planning
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and finance processes
- Demonstrated experience with senior stakeholder management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to connect the dots and respond at speed to issue signals.
- Demonstrated experience of providing management insight and value-added analysis for complex issues
- Understanding of how technical finance issues can impact the delivery of financial performance in Supply chain
- Ability to form strong relationships with site, supply chain and commercial teams to ensure the best outcomes for GSK
- Capability to work in a complex matrix environment
