ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsibilities1. Financial Leadership & Governance
- Lead the full spectrum of finance operations, including accounting, FP&A, tax, treasury, and compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing and reporting
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, internal controls, and SOPs across the studio
- Ensure full compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
2. Business Partnering & Studio Performance
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Studio GM and production leadership on financial and operational matters
- Provide actionable insights on studio profitability, project margins, utilization, and cost management
- Translate financial data into business drivers (e.g., project P&L, utilization, pricing, margin optimization)
- Influence key decision-making including project bidding, pricing, capacity planning, and investment decisions
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for the studio
- Deliver robust financial planning, scenario analysis, and variance explanations
- Monitor KPIs and financial performance vs. budget and provide timely recommendations
4. Project & Revenue Finance (Gaming-specific)
- Oversee project accounting, including milestone billing, revenue recognition, and cost tracking
- Partner with Production on margin validation
- Ensure accuracy of project profitability analysis and customer P&L
5. Cash Flow, Treasury & Risk Management
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and funding requirements
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
6. External Stakeholder Management
- Lead relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and government bodies
- Manage audits (statutory, tax, internal) and ensure timely resolution of findings
- Oversee applications for grants, subsidies, or industry incentives
7. Group & Systems Integration
- Act as the key interface between Studio and Group Finance
- Ensure alignment with Group policies, IFRS reporting, and internal reporting standards
- Drive ERP (e.g., D365), reporting tools, and digital finance transformation initiatives
- Participate in group-wide finance projects and process improvements
8. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, building a high-performance and business-partnering mindset
- Establish clear roles, KPIs, and succession planning within the team
- Promote continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency
- Bachelor or above degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
- Chief Accountant certification is required
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- 10+ years of working experience, including the experience of ERP and Dashboard implementation.
- Experience in the technology or media industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP, tax regulations, and financial controls.
- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint skills.
- Prior MNC background is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Mature, proactive, good leadership, good analytical skills.
