Job DescriptionThe Financial Analyst will sit within the Consolidation pillar of the FP&A function and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of the Group’s financial data and reporting. You will support the consolidation of results across business units and underpin the management reporting, forecasting, and planning outputs used by senior Finance leadership.
This position is designed for a self-starter in the early stages of their FP&A career who is keen to develop a deep technical understanding of financial data, models, and systems. The Financial Analyst will work hands-on with complex datasets, consolidation models, and reporting tools, while proactively seeking opportunities to improve data processing, automation, and efficiency.
The role offers exposure to group-level financial consolidation and close collaboration with FP&A stakeholders, providing a strong foundation for progression into broader FP&A, commercial finance, or finance leadership roles.
Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Consolidation & Data Integrity
- Support the month-end consolidation process across all business units, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial data.
- Partner closely with the central FP&A team and wider Finance stakeholders during month-end close and forecast cycles.
- Maintain clear documentation and controls to ensure consistency, transparency, and data integrity.
- Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Support the production of recurring management reporting packs, dashboards, KPIs, and analysis for month-end, forecasting, and three-year planning cycles.
- Deliver clear, structured variance analysis and performance insights to support FP&A discussions and decision-making.
- Models, Tools & Forecast Support
- Maintain, enhance, and develop a strong understanding of the models, tools and data flows used for forecasting, budgeting, and multi-year planning.
- Support the consolidation of Business Unit forecasts into a Group-level view, ensuring alignment to agreed assumptions and data structures.
- Assist with scenario analysis and ad-hoc modelling as required.
- Data Development & Process Improvement
- Proactively seek out and teach yourself new data processing, modelling, and efficiency techniques to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability
- Identify and support opportunities to automate, streamline, and standardise recurring forecasting and reporting processes, helping reduce manual effort and risk of error while building scalable, well-documented workflows and processes.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principle and financial analysis concepts
- Solid working experience of Excel, confident use of PowerPoint
- Financial modelling skills
- Experience working with large datasets
- Attention to detail, and solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Robust organisation skills, experience of month-end and other deadlines, and ability to keep track of priorities
- Capability to work unaided and “in the grey”
- Ability to work in an agile and nimble fashion
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills with aptitude for relationship-building
- Experience partnering with people outside of their reporting structure
