This role supports the delivery of high quality, timely reporting for group and management, and for driving ongoing process improvement. It includes monitoring and optimization of activities currently performed.
What will you be doing?
Responsible for month-end closing of holdings (SN Europe BV & Smith & nephew International)
Key accounting processes, in compliance with requirements & coordination of month-end closing for SNOBV : E&O Calculation, COGS reconciliation, VAT reconciliations, GRIR oversight, review, and process automatization. Weekly cash Flow Forecast.
Ensure process documentation compliance for Wroclaw site for R2R : SOP review, updating and approval flow
Support adhoc improvement projects in the FraBene cluster, as directed by the FraBene Cluster Controller or the BENE controller and supporting statutory activities:
Responsible for Intrastat filing of the various SNOBV Vat registration (ensure transition of process from the VAT team then proceed with the filings).
Coordination with EY for the creation of financial statements for SNEBV, SNNCV and SNNBV for board approval.
Responsible for Creation and filing of reports for various Dutch institutions.
Coordination and assistance for provision of documentation to EY and audits by Group Auditors
What will you need : to be Successful?
Education: Post Graduate Degree - M.Com / MBA / CA or CMA Inter
Minimum 3+ years of experience preferably in Financial Reporting.
Must be fluent in English. Any other European language applicable to the FraBene cluster is a strong asset
Demonstrates experience in analyzing financial data, drawing sound conclusions and developing proposals/solutions>IFRS accounting experience.
Experience of working in a large / listed entity and hands on experience of SAP / Hyperion / TM1 / Cognos.
Working knowledge and application of SOX control frameworks
Flexible to work in shifts.
