Assemble, install, inspect, and maintain mechanical parts and machinery per drawings; troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, keep maintenance records, follow safety protocols, and support/training of junior staff to ensure plant efficiency.
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled ITI Fitter to become an integral part of our team. The Fitter will be responsible for assembling and installing mechanical parts, performing maintenance on machinery, and ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our plant.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install mechanical parts and equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical components, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand equipment design and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior maintenance staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
- ITI Certificate in Fitter Trade is mandatory.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical fitting and maintenance (freshers are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and adapt to changing priorities.
