Location: Gurgaon

About the Role 

This position is a remote role based in India - working with UAE, Jordan + other markets where Careem operates.

 

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will play a critical role within the Finance team, providing key support to the relevant stakeholders. This position involves close collaboration with various business units to analyze financial data, understand performance trends, and offer actionable insights. You'll be instrumental in planning and forecasting, identifying and addressing financial performance variances & supporting month-end closing activities.

 

What you'll do

  • Be a partner to the business across financial and commercial decisions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance dashboards / reports.
  • Analyze business performance and report any significant variances.
  • Recommend operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance productivity.
  • Build & maintain annual/quarterly/monthly budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct data analytics for ad hoc business cases and deep dives into operational and financial results.
  • Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Redash, and SQL to create insightful reports that support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate month-end book closure and financial reporting.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees like MBA, CA, or CFA strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 year of experience in finance, accounting, or related areas within Tech sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using BI and reporting tools.
  • Excellent quantitative skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • A high level of commercial acumen and business understanding.
  • Strong drive to learn and grow.
  • High ownership and proactiveness.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerBI, Redash and SQL.
