Frontend Engineer - Internship

This is a paid 6-month internship with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role at the end based on performance. You'll build the interfaces enterprise users interact with every day, shipping real features to real customers from your first sprint, with real ownership and direct mentorship from senior engineers.

• Build UI components: Develop pixel-perfect, highly interactive UI components in React.

• Turn designs into code: Translate Figma designs into production-ready code, and push back when the design doesn't make sense.

• Own performance: Care about load times, re-renders, and bundle sizes.

• Collaborate on APIs: Work with backend engineers to define APIs and data contracts.

• Ship end-to-end with quality: Write component tests, maintain a high standard for code quality, and ship features end-to-end, not just the "frontend part."

• JS/TS fundamentals: A solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals: closures, async, and the event loop.

• React: Working knowledge of React: hooks, state management, and component lifecycle.

• Real project experience: You've shipped something real to the web (even if small) and gone beyond tutorials: thoughtful state management (what lives where and why), API integration with loading/error/auth handling, forms with client- and server-aware validation, multi-page routing (nested and protected routes, query params), or working with a component library or design system.

• Debugging & performance: You can look at a broken UI and fix it without being told where to start, and you've used browser DevTools to spot and fix a slow render.

• Quality & UX: You care about accessibility, responsiveness, and edge cases, not just happy paths, and you have opinions about UX that you're not afraid to voice.

• AI-assisted building: You use AI tools (Copilot, v0, or similar) to build faster, and know when a suggestion is right and when it's subtly wrong.

• Duration: A paid 6-month internship, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role at the end based on performance.
