About the role
- We are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our product development team. This role requires a proactive individual with experience in both frontend and backend development, working across a range of languages, frameworks, and cloud infrastructure. You will be instrumental in building scalable insurance tech applications that integrate with internal tools, third-party services, and customer-facing interfaces.
What you'll do
- Develop, test, and maintain full stack features and microservices for insurance workflows.
- Write clean, scalable, and secure backend APIs using Ruby on Rails, Python (Flask/Django), or Node.js (Express).
- Build responsive front-end components using TypeScript and Angular.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases including PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Contribute to the deployment and scalability of applications within AWS ECS, RDS, S3, and ElasticCache.
- Implement automated testing pipelines with RSpec, Cypress, Jasmine, Karma, and CircleCI.
- Integrate CI/CD processes using Jenkins within AWS-hosted environments.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, and UI/UX designers to deliver features from concept to production.
- Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and system design discussions.
- Support version control and collaboration practices via GitHub.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full stack development experience in a SaaS or product-focused environment.
- Proficiency with at least one backend language (Ruby, Python, NodeJS).
- Strong understanding of modern frontend frameworks, preferably Angular with TypeScript.
- Solid experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services (ECS, RDS, S3, ElasticCache).
- Experience with database design, performance tuning, and caching strategies.
- Proficiency in version control using GitHub and working in a collaborative development environment.
- Understanding of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing, integrating, and deploying applications that leverage AI/LLM technologies (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar frameworks) to enhance product functionality and user experience is strongly preferred.
