About the Role:
As a Fullstack Python Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and drive business growth.
This is a 5-month contractual role and remote (work from home) position.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and resilient data applications using Python and Node.js.
- Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Utilize advanced data structures and algorithms to solve complex problems efficiently in a production environment.
- Leverage the latest Azure services and Kubernetes features to enhance application scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to identify business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable and data-intensive applications.
- Strong expertise in Python and familiarity with JavaScript/Node.js in production environments.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services, including data storage, compute, and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.
- Ability to design, implement and maintain cloud-based architectures using Kubernetes on Azure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a track record of working on cross-functional teams.
Nice to have skills
- Experience with JavaScript and Node.js and related technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and sourcing data from diverse systems.
- Experience in configuring and using Datadog for APM, infrastructure monitoring, and log management.
- Ability to design, implement and maintain cloud-based architectures using Kubernetes on Azure
