Global Head of Financing and Portfolio Solutions (FPS) Operations, Senior Managing Director

The Global Head of Financing and Portfolio Solutions (FPS) Operations within State Street Markets is responsible for the leadership, oversight and strategic development of the operational infrastructure supporting State Street’s trading and financing businesses. The role partners closely with teams across State Street business lines, State Street Investment Services Global Delivery and corporate partners to provide and develop operational services for core State Street Markets businesses and new initiatives. This role also leads the administration and implementation of Corporate and Regulatory programs.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Markets and Treasury Operations, you will oversee a global team of approximately 250 professionals across Boston, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Krakow and New Jersey.

This role may be based in Boston, London, Mumbai, Bangalore or Hyderabad. Given the senior leadership responsibilities of the position, it is expected to be performed primarily from an office location, with limited flexibility available

What you will be responsible for

As the Global Head of FPS Operations you will be responsible for:

• Leading the global operations organization, including 250 professional across regions, ensuring consistent delivery, strong governance, and a risk-excellent operating culture

• Driving transformation and modernization, partnering with technology, business and risk teams to ensure scalable, automated, future-state processes

• Strengthening controls by embedding industry best practices, improving resiliency, reducing operational risk, and protecting the firm from financial or reputational harm.

• Delivering seamless and efficient post trade operational support, including confirmations,          settlement, clearing, and data management.

• Overseeing applicable vendors and third-party relationships, ensuring service delivery meets required standards, including proper management of cyber risks

• Optimizing the operating model and cost base to support scalability, efficiency, business growth, and global consistency

• Attracting, developing, and retaining key talent, building a high-performing, inclusive global team with strong succession planning and leadership depth

• Leading the execution of key regulatory, governance and corporate initiatives, including Regulatory Reporting, Data Governance and Model Risk

This role represents Markets on various corporate level steering committees and collaborates closely with critical service partners including State Street Investment Services Global Delivery, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance, Legal and Human Resources.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in capital markets, ideally across operations, risk, finance or related functions.

• Proven track record leading large, global teams and building high-performing organizations.

• Deep expertise across financing and portfolio solutions operations, including securities lending, prime services, secured financing/repo, collateral management, liquidity solutions, and associated post-trade operating models.

• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale transformation and change initiatives in complex organizations.

• Strong commercial judgment, strategic problem-solving skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.

• Attention to detail with an ability to look critically at a problem and propose solutions

• Travel up to 10% may be required
