What you'll be responsible for:
We are seeking an experienced and people-centric HR Manager to support our growing India Tech Center workforce, based in Bangalore . This role blends strong HR Business Partnering with hands-on HR operations , ensuring seamless employee experiences, compliance with local labor laws, and scalable people practices. This is a geo-focused role for India, working in close partnership with the global HR Business Partner team. You will also act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees while partnering closely with other global Talent teams across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas region.
This role is ideal for a proactive seasoned HR professional who is comfortable operating strategically while remaining close to execution in a fast-paced, global environment.
What you'll work on:
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
  • Oversee and support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including headcount needs, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, employee development, internal mobility, organizational design, role changes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, compensation, benefits, and workplace concerns, etc and partner with the COE partners to drive outcomes.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Legal, Finance, IT, and global HR teams to ensure smooth and compliant HR operations in India.

Employee Relations & Culture
  • Collaborate with the Site lead to promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned with company values.
  • Partner with the employee relations team to support and coordinate employee investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Drive and review employee engagement surveys, support local engagement initiatives and action planning to enhance employee experience and retention.

Compliance, Policy & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Support the development, localization, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks for India, aligned with global standards.
  • Stay current on changes in employment legislation and proactively assess impact to the business.

Collaboration & Global Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence (COEs) across regions to share best practices and ensure consistency.
  • Contribute to global HR programs and initiatives, adapting them effectively for India.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, scalability, and operational efficiency.

What you'll bring to Circle:
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partnering and HR operations, preferably in a fast-paced, global or tech-enabled environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience handling employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort working across cultures and time zones in a globally distributed organization.
  • Demonstrated experience building HR frameworks, processes, and operating models from the ground up in newly established or rapidly evolving environments.
  • Preferred experience or strong interest in leveraging AI tools and data-driven insights to enhance HR decision-making, operational efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and strong proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Experience supporting technical or engineering teams is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
