Job Description: Dynamics 365 CE Solution Architect
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide CRM solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and the Power Platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to define solution architecture that aligns with business strategy and delivers measurable outcomes.
Specializing in Customer Engagement, the Solution Architect will lead end-to-end solution architecture and design for Dynamics 365 CE implementations (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing, etc.). Define integration patterns between D365 CE and other enterprise systems (ERP, data warehouse, portals, etc.).
Core Responsibilities
§ Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design for Dynamics 365 CE implementations (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing, etc.).
§ Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.
§ Drive the design of business process automation using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
§ Define integration patterns between D365 CE and other enterprise systems (ERP, data warehouse, portals, etc.).
§ Create technical design documents, data models, configuration plans, and solution blueprints.
§ Guide development teams on technical implementation, customizations, and performance tuning.
§ Ensure compliance with best practices in security, governance, and Microsoft’s recommended architecture.
§ Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to align solutions with user needs and business goals.
§ Lead architecture and design workshops with both business and IT audiences.
§ Stay current with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform roadmap and provide strategic input into future initiatives.
§ Collaborating with technical consultants and developers to design and implement customizations and integrations with other systems.
§ Assisting in data migration activities, including data mapping, data cleansing, and data import/export.
§ Keeping up to date with the latest features and enhancements in Dynamics 365 CE and providing recommendations on how to leverage them for clients' benefit.
§ Collaborating with delivery managers, project managers, and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Pre Sales
Support and assist with pre-sales engagements including, but not limited to:
§ Coaching and mentoring junior team members
§ Validating (but not delivering) solutions, costing, plans etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience managing and delivering Dynamics 365 customer engagements, preferably mandatory in a consulting or professional services environment.
In-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365
Experience in large-scale or public sector Dynamics 365 implementations.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD for Power Platform.
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and dual-write integration.
TOGAF, ITIL, or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to lead diverse, cross-functional teams effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset.
Experience with agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools and software.
Relevant Dynamics 365 certifications are highly desirable.
Ability to travel to customer sites, as needed.
