HPE Aruba Networking (Aruba) Channel requires a sales specialist to drive “breadth” partner sales. This role will work very closely with Aruba’s channel sales team, HPE distributors and reseller partners to engage and excite these partners to sell Aruba’s networking products, services and solutions. You will implement actions to recruit new resellers, engage HPE’s compute and storage partners to attach networking to these solutions and/or sell campus networking solutions. Your analytical skills are needed to identify potential partners, communicate action requirements and sales/activation performance. Using your well developed communication and influencing skills you will drive actions with Aruba’s channel team and through our partners, this can include standard partner training or enablement requirements and, as needed materials you have tailored to be delivered online or face-to-face. Your sales territory will include selected APJ countries. Your success metrics will be: (1) Q/Q Sales Growth and (2) Q/Q Active Partners for your defined sales territory
Responsibilities:
- Lead and actively manage APJ Partner Breadth and Depth program to drive New and Reactivate dormant Partners to generate new sales opportunities
- Attend Distributors/Partners events and actively engaging them to review activities for partner activation to increase sales
- Share best practices on Partner Breadth and Depth engagement
- Grow number of active partners Q/Q and Y/Y
- Manage and own APJ Engage & Grow Distributor program to boost sales for partner activation
- Sets and executes sales strategy for assigned partners, territory or industry segments
- Sells moderately complex solutions, products and services for set of partners/customer segments based on Aruba business strategies, partnering with country DBM
- Review and publish dormant/new/HPE Compute and Storage partner activation performance by Distributors/total countries to drive sales discussion with country DBM
- Builds targeted sales and active partner count forecasts data driven sales activities
Experience/ Requirement:
- 3-5 years of experience in an IT/Sales role
- Proficient partner account management, acquisition, retention and development skills
- Proficient understanding of company's portfolios of products and services
- Proficient knowledge of IT and/or industry solutions, products and services to solve business challenges
- Proficient communication and negotiation skills
- Able to collaborate within a team
- May require hunter approach or strategic "farmer or relationship selling approach.
- Proficient knowledge in a Customer Relationship Management system or Salesforce system which allows businesses to manage business relationships and the data and information associated with them
- Able to communicate and work well within the various country teams with diverse culture and background
- Multiple languages proficiency will be highly regarded
- Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint; & PowerBI knowledge would be advantage.
