Integration Engineer

Job Overview:
Maintaining & optimizing large-scale enterprise data solutions and applications using one or more of Google Cloud Platform data and analytics and migrating from legacy Analytics platforms to Google Cloud. Usage of services in combination with technologies like Python, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud BigQuery, Cloud PubSub, Cloud Functions, Airflow.
Skill set:
- Programming Languages: Python (Good To have)
- Messaging Queues: Kafka (Good to Have)
- Version Control: Git.
- CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools for automated deployment.
- Containerization: Good to have Docker, Kubernetes (beneficial).
- Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, AWS (Must Have)
- Data Technologies: SQL, ETL tools (Good to Have)
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based applications and services.
- Implement and maintain automation for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash).
- Maintaining production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a hybrid big data architecture, using Python.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to track the health and performance of integration pipelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to integration components.
Collaboration & Problem-Solving:
- Collaborate closely with the development team, LLM engineers, and software developers to define integration requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in integration development.
- Provide on-call support during incidents
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 3 - 5 years of engineering experience in Cloud Development and Cloud Integration-related fields.
- 2 -3 years of experience in deploying code to cloud environments, troubleshoot performance and operational issues.
- Familiarity with Data Ingestion technologies like GCP DataFlow, and AirFlow.
- Agile development skills and experience.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Concourse, Jenkins
- Google Cloud Platform certification is a plus
