Job Description:
As an HR Intern, you will contribute to the overall efficiency of the Human Resources Department. You will provide support to all of Russell Investments business units through HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and other HR projects thereby contributing to the attraction, retention, and development of our employees.
We are seeking a proactive team player with an ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment, and manage various tasks simultaneously, yet flexible to accommodate changing priorities.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
• Assist on a variety of projects as required e.g. associate policy review, build out of e-learning content on Workday Learning, benefits and compensation initiatives, talent acquisition assistance.
• Ensure all associates receive accurate answers to queries within a reasonable time frame. This may require escalating to appropriate functional area or HR leadership.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives aimed at promoting a positive work culture.
• Assist with new hire and onboarding process.
• Become familiar with Workday (HR Information System) to ensure data integrity, data input and changes, manager awareness, running reports.
A successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
• Master’s Degree (or in pursuit of) in HR Management (required).
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information (required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (required).
• Demonstrated ability to manage and follow through on multiple priorities and assignments (required).
• Willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and develop HR knowledge (required).
• Professional experience with Workday HRIS (preferred).
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel (required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (required).
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment (required).
