Embedded in an AI-focused pharma team to co-develop production-level ML and generative AI systems for clinical and regulatory workflows, including multi-agent frameworks, predictive modeling, automation of trial operations, and scientific knowledge graphs through collaboration with data scientists and clinical experts.
About the Role:
The AQDS India-Philippines team is spearheading Pfizer's shift toward AI-native clinical and regulatory workflows. We fuse biological and clinical expertise with advanced machine learning and Generative AI to solve critical challenges in drug development. As an intern, you will be fully embedded into our high-performance team to co-develop production-level scientific algorithms and intelligent frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Next-Gen AI & Agentic Frameworks: Contribute to multi-agent autonomous reasoning systems (like StarlingAI) transitioning from task-specific models to enterprise-wide AI workflows.
- Predictive Modeling & Analytics: Assist in developing machine learning pipelines for critical clinical tasks, such as adverse event prediction or treatment response analysis (e.g., using Random Forests and Real-World Data).
- Process Automation: Leverage Generative AI and LLMs to streamline clinical trial operations, such as extracting trial eligibility criteria or automating statistical programming pipelines
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global data scientists, statisticians, and clinical experts to validate models, map biological databases, and build Scientific Knowledge Graphs (SKG).
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Biological Sciences, or related dual-degree programs).
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R.
- Solid fundamental understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to apply AI to real-world healthcare and drug development challenges.
