What You'll Do
Desktop & Device Management
- Independently design, configure, and support Windows and macOS end-user computing environments with minimal direction.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot macOS devices using Kandji or JAMF Pro; contribute to policy and configuration improvements.
- Manage and optimize Windows client environments using Microsoft Intune, including compliance policies and app deployments.
- Own OS provisioning, patch management, and software packaging and deployment cycles within established frameworks.
- Participate in hardware refresh planning and contribute to asset lifecycle tracking.
- Support onboarding workflows, including device setup, account provisioning coordination, and new hire imaging.
Operations & Support
- Provide advanced desktop and end-client support; serve as a Tier 2 escalation point for the Service Desk and Associate engineers.
- Lead desktop-related projects and change requests independently, owning scope, execution, and stakeholder updates.
- Manage incidents efficiently with proper prioritization and escalation; conduct basic post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging tools and technologies; present findings to the team to inform roadmap decisions.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure security best practices are implemented on all end-user devices; assist in remediating endpoint vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, Change Management processes, and regulatory standards; participate in audits as needed.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process automation and implement lightweight scripting solutions to reduce manual tasks.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Security teams to resolve complex issues and drive systemic fixes.
- Create and maintain documentation for desktop standards, configurations, and processes; ensure documentation is current and accessible.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and informal mentorship to Associate Desktop Engineers.

- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate manager or management team.
Key Performance Outcomes
- Projects and change requests completed within designated timeframes and scope.
- Full compliance with Change Management policies and procedures.
- Desktop deployments and patch cycles executed on schedule with minimal downtime or end-user disruption.
- Escalated incidents managed efficiently with appropriate prioritization, communication, and post-incident review.
- End-user device fleet maintained at or above agreed SLA and security compliance targets.

We're Excited to Learn More About You
- High School diploma required; BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Desktop Engineer, End User Support Engineer, or similar role, with demonstrated independent ownership.
- Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments at scale (200+ endpoints); comfortable managing high-volume workloads.
- Experience participating in or contributing to desktop refresh, migration, or standardization projects.
Technical Skills - Required
- Windows & macOS: Strong hands-on experience with Windows 11 and macOS, including performance tuning and advanced troubleshooting.
- macOS MDM: Proficient with Kandji or JAMF Pro; able to build and modify configurations, scripts, and enrollment workflows independently.
- PowerShell: Proficient in scripting for automation, reporting, and endpoint management; ability to write and maintain scripts independently.
- Microsoft Intune & SCCM: Solid working knowledge including application packaging, OSD task sequences, and compliance policies.
- Microsoft 365 & Entra ID: Proficient with Intune, Entra ID (AAD), Conditional Access policies, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Endpoint Security: Familiarity with antivirus/EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike or Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Networking: Solid knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, proxy, Wi-Fi) and endpoint connectivity diagnostics.
- ITSM Tools: Experience with ServiceNow or Jira Service Management for ticket management and workflow tracking.
- Active Directory: Understanding of basic Active Directory and Group Policy management in a Windows domain environment.
Professional Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; able to diagnose and resolve issues with limited guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without close supervision.

- Relevant certifications: Microsoft MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), JAMF Certified Tech, CompTIA A+ / Network+, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Linux commands and scripting for hybrid endpoint and server environments.
- Exposure to ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
