The IT Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer will own the design, operation, and lifecycle management of Tufin’s demo environments and Proof of Value (POV) deployments. The role focuses on building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and repeatable environments across multi-cloud platforms, primarily AWS and Azure, to support the Sales and Sales Engineering organizations. The engineer will serve as the primary technical focal point for demo infrastructure, ensuring environments used for demonstrations and evaluations are stable, secure, and production-grade. The role also includes collaborating with Sales Engineers and occasionally working directly with customers to support POV deployments and technical evaluations.
This position is part of the IT Infrastructure and Cloud team, operating under the team’s standards, architecture guidelines, and automation practices. While the primary focus is enabling demo and POV environments for the Sales organization, the engineer will collaborate closely with other IT Infrastructure team members and contribute to broader infrastructure initiatives when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Demo & Platform Operations
- Own the day-to-day operation, stability, and lifecycle management of internal demo environments used by Sales and Sales Engineering teams.
- Responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining cloud-hosted demo platforms (primarily AWS, with Azure support)
- Managing supporting services, integrations, and demo-related platforms (e.g., AI dashboards and ServiceNow integrations)
- Performing system installation, upgrades, patching, and configuration management
- Monitoring platform health, improving performance, and ensuring high availability
- Managing incidents, troubleshooting issues, and performing root-cause analysis
- Ensure demo environments are reliable, consistent, and ready to support customer-facing demonstrations at all times.
POV Infrastructure & Customer Installations
Design, deploy, and maintain environments used for customer Proof of Value (POV) engagements.
Responsibilities include:
- Deploying and configuring Tufin solutions for customer POV environments
- Owning the full lifecycle of POV environments, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning
- Supporting Sales Engineers during technical evaluations and troubleshooting deployment challenges
- Assisting with deployments in customer environments when required
- Diagnosing complex issues across operating systems, networking, cloud infrastructure, and application layers
- Provide structured feedback to Product Management and R&D on installation challenges, usability improvements, and product enhancement opportunities.
Automation & Process Improvement
Improve scalability and reliability of demo and POV environments through automation and standardization.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing automation for environment provisioning and configuration
- Standardizing deployment, upgrade, and environment management processes
- Maintaining documentation, runbooks, and deployment guides
- Continuously improving operational efficiency by reducing manual effort and improving repeatability
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Pre-Sales leadership, Sales Engineers, Product Management, and R&D to support customer-facing engagements.
Responsibilities include:
- Prioritizing demo and POV infrastructure work based on sales needs and timelines
- Ensuring environments are prepared for strategic demonstrations and customer evaluations
- Acting as the technical owner for demo and POV infrastructure across the organization
IT Infrastructure & Cloud Team Collaboration
Operate as a member of the IT Infrastructure & Cloud team, aligning with team standards, architecture practices, and operational processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with IT team members on infrastructure improvements and automation initiatives
- Sharing knowledge and contributing to internal cloud and infrastructure best practices
- Supporting broader infrastructure objectives when priorities allow
- 9+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud platform operations
- Experience deploying and administering physical and virtual servers in enterprise environments.
- Strong Linux system administration experience in production environments
- Proven experience deploying and operating enterprise software platforms on cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (primary) and familiarity with Microsoft Azure
- Strong experience with cloud and virtual infrastructure, including VM instances, compute resources, storage, and disk management
- Solid networking knowledge and hands-on experience, including VPC/VNet design, routing, NAT, load balancers, and security groups
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting cloud networking and security components, such as security groups, target groups, NAT gateways, and load balancing services
- Experience designing and troubleshooting multi-tier application environments across infrastructure, networking, and OS layers
Automation & Scripting
- Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Experience automating environment provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
